Small and medium sized companies have special requirements for their factory automation. Due to small batches and high flexibility they need automation equipment, which supports their approval to individual purchaser requests. Customized controller solutions are often very expensive which makes it very risky to start with automation efforts. In this approach the work cell and robot controller software is implemented in a PC-environment, which makes it a low cost solution, suitable for many different applications.
